Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)
SISFS
Flagship early-stage mixed grant + convertible debt via empanelled incubators for DPIIT startups ≤2 years old.
Why this matters for Stamped
Primary equity-free path after incorporation. Grant tranche fits PoC/pilot; debt tranche for commercialisation. Frame as deep-tech industrial EE / Industry 4.0 software.
Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)
Overview
SISFS fills the early funding gap for DPIIT-recognised startups turning ideas into products and first commercial traction. Funds are disbursed through approved incubators, not directly from DPIIT to the startup bank account in isolation.
Eligibility
- DPIIT-recognised startup incorporated in India
- Not more than 2 years since incorporation at application
- Business idea with market fit, commercialisation path, and scale potential
- Technology in core product, service, or business model
- Must not have received more than ₹10 lakh monetary support under other Central/State schemes
- Application routed via a SISFS-empanelled incubator
What you get
- Up to ₹20 lakh as grant for PoC validation, prototype development, or product trials
- Up to ₹50 lakh as convertible debentures / debt / debt-linked instruments for market entry, commercialisation, or scaling
- Incubator mentoring, milestone monitoring, and ecosystem access
How to apply
- Shortlist a SISFS-empanelled incubator (prefer TIDES IIT Roorkee pathway for Stamped)
- Complete incubator residency/selection process as required
- Apply on https://seedfund.startupindia.gov.in/
- Playbook note: last startup apply date under one window was 31 May 2026; confirm current open windows
Stamped Energy fit
Strong fit for Stamped Energy once incorporated and DPIIT-recognised. Industrial energy intelligence SaaS is a technology-enabled product with clear PoC (90-day bill verification pilot) and commercialisation narrative. Blockers today: not incorporated, not DPIIT-recognised, not incubated. Do not pitch as hardware IoT or ESG filing software.
Sources & caveats
- Verify live windows, guidelines, and incubator eligibility on official sites before applying.
- Playbook summaries are high-level; scheme rules change.
